I recently made a purchase form USAKnifemaker for some steel and a carbide drill bit to cut hardened steel. It arrived quickly and the folks at USAKnifemaker met every request I had.
That being said, that's not specifically why I started this thread....
While using the carbide drill bit on mild steel the tip of the bit blew apart and shattered (with in the first 5 holes). I was drilling on the lowest setting on my drill press and was using cutting oil with no lateral force. I knew it was not user error and there was a defect with the bit, as no other carbide coated drill bits I've had reacted this way before.
long story short I contacted USAknifemaker about the issue 4 days ago, and they sent me a replacement one out without any questions being asked. It arrived today, and I was very pleased.
I wanted to show my appreciation for the company and assure you guys never to hesitate when purchasing from them!
