Use your knives?

I am a collector first and a user second. When buying a knife I know what I plan to do with it and that is what the selection/purchase is based on.
 
what I learned from posting this thread is that:

1) Some people use all - if its got a blade gung ho.

2) Some Like me use a some but don't want to dirty up
the rest of the tiny little creatures (but I'm trying).

3) Others are staunch collectors and don't want to devalue
these prized items.

You know what, hats off to us all because the one thing in
common is that we all are smitten by the bug (KNIVES).
