$120, OBO. Offers encouraged if you feel I'm way off the mark on this. I will ask to wait 24hrs for most cases to see if I get a better offer, just so you know up front (unless this listing gets old)
I have for sale a good condition XL espada from cold steel. The biggest signs of use are on the pocket clip. This is the AUS-8a version so the steel should tolerate abuse (if that's how you decide to use it) better than the more recent CTS-XHP model. Love XHP, probably not a good choice on a big knife like this. For reference, because of the handle length this is equivalent to a 12" fixed blade in terms of reach.
I've added a lanyard hole which these desperately need as a standard feature, IMO. The hole is just in front of the back spacer and still well below where the blades sets into the frame when closed. The included lanyard and carabiner make this a lot easier to carry outside of a pack or large pocket.
Lockup is good. As far as large folders go, the triad lock design is the best choice for this, IMO. IF one of these were to fail I think it would be in the blade or blade tang before the lock. The handle is pretty neat design, allowing for plenty of grips. I used this for clearing grass and small brush like briars from around trees that I wanted to go at with an axe. I think it went out on a few outings but was usually only along for the ride as I kept tinkering with different ways to carry.
Now, to the pics of this behemoth of an elegant looking blade.
