1084 Chopper/Camp Knife
This was the first run I had with 1084. I heat treated this knife to 59-60 Rc and have used it off and on for about 2 years. It has been reground a couple times thinning the edge to check toughness and edge geometry. Where it is at right now is about perfect for a camp knife or a chopper. I have used it in the woods, back yard, home and camp kitchen. This blade is not real pretty but the performance is there.
Specs:
.187" 1084 from Aldo
14" OAL
9" Blade
Flat Grind
Nice Patina Developing
Handle is Para Cord over Leather
Very Comfortable, Secure, and Hand Filling
No Sheath
Asking $ 175
3V Chopper/Machete
This started life as one of my Silverback pattern. I removed the tip and a little of the belly and found that it works much better like this.
This one has seen it's fair share of use as well.
