Used GEC Knife Pics

Thanks Johnny,

That big jack of yours looks great in burnt stag surrounded by burnt wood. I think the big jack is the pattern that needs to be brought back the most at this point.

I agree Tom, hopefully we will see the #54 return soon.
I really like the frame and the big clip is extremely useful.

Here are a few I EDC.

JT, I am assuming the top knife in your third pic is the same as the one in the first pic (but you know what happens when we assume!). What pattern and scale material is it? I like it a lot.

That is correct Doug, it's a #56 Dogleg Jack with Ivory Bone Scales.
They are tough to find, my buddy wanted one and it took him months to hunt one down.

It was the prize I won from one of Duncan's photo giveaways, it's an awesome price and true friend.

My only GEC...but its been used daily since I got it on December 25th, 2011. The scratches from cutting abrasive materials dont show in the photo but it has a dark patina, well sharpened and definitely not a safe queen.

Since this thread was referred to today, I thought I would bring it back up top. I finally have something to post, my primitive bone 65 Ben Hogan.

Here it is back in April after some onion and pepper slicing:

Last month, after slicing sausage (along with a piece of the finished product):

Thanks for the bump, Doug. It's about time for this thread to have another go 'round. I might as well add a pic of my 2011 Forum Knife.

You are quite welcome Dan, and anytime you want to post more pics of that coconut palm dogleg jack, go right ahead!

Thanks, it shows a bit darker in this photo because it was taken in the kitchen, not out in sunlight. Even so, it is developing a nice patina.

Off topic, but I have to ask. Do you have some kind of rotation going on with your avatar pics?

I'll play, too. Here's my only GEC so far, pictured with my Queen #3L. Gets used a lot, and the blade is taking a very nice natural patina.
