Used my SAK Can opener for first time.

I carry a SAK most of the time, mostly the alox Victorinox Soldier, and use its tools quite often. The can opener works excellent. My Soldier is from 2002 and hasn't got any sign of rust on it; I live not far from the sea and go there regularly, we don't have beaches here, but the coast is a nice place for a long walk. Haven't carried my Leathermans there yet.

The Farmer is my favourite, I just like finding stuff to use the saw on! But all the tools are highly useful, especially when you want to open a bottle of beer.....

My SAK can opener probably sees the most use of any of the blades. I use it 100% of the time for opening cans at home.

SAK's are great , carry one with me almost everywhere..everyone in the family has one I gave them for there key rings
while the can opener is good... I tend to use the scissors more often.......and I still have my 1st P38 from boot...

does anyone make a SAK in allox WITH the scissors ?

suprising what that can opener will do besides open cans.2 weeks ago my wife and i were at the beach and stopped at the local oyster farm. we purchased 2 dozen oysters and realized i had no shucker to open them, then i pulled out my pioneer can opener and shucked those little buggers. worked like it was made for doing that. love my vic

I try to consume little canned food - always looking for fresh ingredients; and the cans that I do have, can often be pulled open without a tool. Finally at home I have a full-size can opener which I use on the remaining ones.
So, all in all I have used the can opener only occasionally during a trip, but then they sure come in handy !
I use the bottle opener a lot more often - those Belgian beers, you know...
