Used or new?

If you look around on the forums you can find great prices. Even on new sebenzas. I got a micarta small 21 NIB for 330.00. I would say whichever route you decide to take make sure you get the 21. I have a regular and a 21. The 21 has a lot of great upgrades.

..What do people mean by 50% lockup? I would prefer the Sebenza to have out of the box lockup...

nn% lockup means what percent of the blade tang is covered
by the lockbar when locked open.. CRK recommends 75% lockup
but some folks like more or less.

The large Seb isn't that large.

with a recently applied "poor mans' refurbish"..

Go Large. I sometimes carry my Small 21 and I always think to myself, why didn't I grab my Large? When I carry my Large I think to myself, well this is just right.

I Like the small 21 for a few reasons. 1. Legal to carry where I live and most other places 2.9" blade 2. Extremely pocket friendly and doesn't take up much room 3. I've never yet had a task that the small couldn't easily handle 4 I can pull it out and use in front of people without scaring people 5.it does small chores like opening letters as good as large chores like cutting coax cable, zip ties etc.

Be patient look on the sales forums like, jerzee devilz, knife forums, custom knives and guns and you will find a 21 at a good price.

Hey bud let me say just buy used.

You will get a big discount.

I only have three sebbies all were brand new

$200 (small)
$275 ( Large double lug Bg42)
$315 ( small lisa's pic)

Yesterday on the usn one used sebbie sold for $200 and the day before that an ivory mnandi for $275.

I buy sebbies used for a reason. The knife is awesome and the deal just become a whole lot sweeter when you pay 30-40% less than retail.
I sent my small to krein for a regrind, because it only cost me $200.

take care

Wow I know it is really simple but that leather or whatever it is lanyard thing is really nice

What should I do, buy a sebenza used?... Or new??? I know the better deal would be used, and I would get a lot more for the price, but, what do you think?
Is there anything else I should consider???

actually, you wouldn't be getting alot more for the price, you would be getting the same knife for a little less. someone mentioned refurbishing for 30-40 dollars more, with that money you could buy new. really not much different from what i've seen new vs. used in price.good luck

Refurbishing is a waste of money. If it has solid lock up and a good edge, why bother? It's just aesthetics.

Yes, that's a very rare leather lanyard with an exotic macrame square knot.
Took many sleepless nights to make that puppy, let me tell you. :D

Actually a leather shoelace from the drug store I think you get 2 for $1.99 .
Works better with a bead or two to cinch it up next to the handle.

BTW the lighty sanded "refurbished" handles are holding up well, don't
seem to show any scratches now and has a nice worn Ti look to it.
