I agree, its a fake. There are deals like that out there, but if you find one you better stop and buy a lotto ticket!! I am going thru the samething with a friend who picked up a Rolex Single Red Pro Hunter Sea Dweller. The thing is so well built that a jeweler told him it was real! I keep telling him that it is a fake, but
it is so good that he wants to take it to the "big city" to have it opened to verify it. I told him if it is real, he is buying me a lotto ticket!
I'm 99% sure its a
fake due to little things which are just not right when compared to the real deal. I have also been collecting for 20+ years and have handled and owned
hundreds of Rolex watches as a "hobbyist" and it just doesnt "feel" real to me. I also walked into a pawnshop and in the case was a Panerai 1950 model looking right at me for $2500 and the lady said they would take $2000 for it. I asked to see it and it felt and looked real, but I have learned that if it's too good to be true, it's probably isnt! I asked if they had it verified and she said that their jeweler had verified, so this raised a flag because a 1950 is a Limited edition and worth a truck load of money, so why would they price it at $2500. Well, I told them I would be back and I went to talk to a place that carried Panerai watches and they showed me a picture of the movement and it was not the correct one, so it was a FAKE!!! My gut feeling paid off in this case!
