Well....lets see....what to talk about. It's Friday and I'm starting a two week vacation. Deer hunting for 10 days of this vacation. I will be trying out some new and some not so new Buck steel.....I can't wait :). Oh yea......hmm.....Ok a question for all.......What was your first Buck knife and what was the approx date/year?

Well as I'm some what of a classic myself......at least age wise. My first Buck knife was the Buck 110. I bought this some time around 1972 give or take a year. I wish, that knife was still with me....but...you know how well buck knives make good gifts ;).

Hey JB, This isn't a useless Friday thread!
My first Buck was a 102 - 1988, right before my first hunting season :D
Mine is no longer with me either. many hard years in the duck blind and it was sold for a new different model (Buck Knife of course :D)

jb4570, good luck on your hunt:D. Hope you wear out some of that Buck steel. My big game does start for about a month. I'm ready now.

My first Buck was my 118 that I bought at the PX in 69-70. It has been my constant hunting companion along with a few others mainly a 103 and the 110. It wouldn't be hunting without the Bucks;) . Preston

Thanks Preston,

I'm glad and sad my hunting season is about to start. Glad because I'm always ready for some hunting; sad because, here in CA the Deer season starts to soon. It's still hot during our season and it ends before the rut starts. Some day I'd like to hunt during the rut and call/rattle in some bucks.....that would be cool  .

My first was a new two dot 110, when I got serious about hunting. I retired it this season past... It didn't leave home... Dang JB, you sound as old as me...this really is a useless thread...

Good luck on the hunting. I am a little worried this year, might have gotten a total of 5 inches of rain so far this whole year out at the hunting place.

Ducks, geese, rabbits, grouse, deer, pheasants...
Yes it got used but only on ducks and geese the first year LOL
My first year I was old enough to hunt I wasn't how would you say, a very good shot! LOTS of warning shots!! I scared a heck of alot of animals though :D
It got carried everywhere though and was used alot more until about 2004.
Oh well :)
