Useless gear you just really want.

Although its neither useless, nor cr@p, I'd wanted one of these for quite a while..... So I bought one, and its good!

Recta, jeweled bearing, liquid filled luminous compass with spirit level, 21mm diameter magnifying lens, dual scale thermometer, metric and imperial rule and lanyard holes.

That mug look sweet, completely useless though.

I have wanted one of these guys for a while but have yet to figure out a real world application that justifies me getting it.

I like that one, does it come with any kind of a cover? What is the mag like?

No cover supplied, so I cut the front of the plastic blister packaging the DMT came in, folded enough back to form a rear closure, and carry it in that (kept secure with a rubber band.

The clear, moulded plastic packaging means that the DMT can be used in its homemade 'case'.

The magnifier is pretty good, my original intention was to use it as a fire starting aid (except in the dark

I'm going to fasten it to my Gransfors Bruks neck Knife sheath, as part of a little kit, inspired by Pict.

That mug is pretty funny. I like how it doesn't even come with the carry handle for $279. Come on guys, I think you can afford to throw in a handle for $279...

Crap, that's two things I want now! I didn't know they made a neck knife. I guess I'm off to visit my old friend Mr. Google. :)

The good news is that GB make a great little neck knife, however, they only sell them to people that visit the factory forge!

They don't advertise their neck knife, I'd never seen 'em till an excellent knife and sheath maker posted it for sale on BCUK, from his collection.

Next to my GB Mini for scale.

I got the small one from CountyComm earlier this year and keep it in my EDC bag. It's pretty cool, though I've never used mine either.

I think I'm gonna buy an electric cigarette starter kit. Time to kick for good.

I've got a hankering for a new harmonica, just need to learn to play.

I wasn't allowed to touch power tools (drill press etc) until I was 11.

Hell, I was on the lathe at 6...guess it was good to have a dad who is a machinist.

I didn't care much for power tools when I was younger, mostly because of sensitive hearing at the age. I vaguely remember though on occasion depending on which way the drill was set he would use drill bits spinning backwards, not necessarily the most mechanically inclined guy.
