I pulled off the scales and blade coating; mirror polished the blade past the dimples by hand and added Purple Heart wood scales and stainless pins. Nothing was done that would harm the Infi heat treat and although not a professionals work the fit and finish are not too bad, tang edges are smooth to the scales but far from perfect.
The knife is 11overall with a 5-1/8 blade and 1/8spine. The edge is sharp and without flaws. The balance point is just behind the talon hole so essentially on the index finger. The knife has been used since polished and has light surface scratches.
Included is a custom black leather sheath I built for the knife with a 2+ belt loop along with a dangler loop.
I would recommend the knife for someone looking for a good user that is a little different or for someone else who wants to mod some infi without breaking the bank.
