Need a really nice stockman that you won't be afraid to work with? Here you go.
First, some rust spots showed up on the blades and I freaked out. Then, I tried to do a forced patina by dropping this in hot vinegar to keep the rust from coming back. Turns out red wine vinegar was a poor choice. So the wood got dark. The glue filling in some kind of void near the shield is from the factory and was not visible till I darkened the handles. Mechanically, it's good to go.
I'm asking $40 net to me. If you feel the need to use G&S you're picking up the PP fees. I ship to anyone in the US for free. I'll sell to anybody but if you're outside the US you'll have to pay for shipping. Somebody's gonna get really nice knife for cheap. So don't pass this one up.
