I have seen a lot of folks pick screen names ending with "69". The name part usually makes sense, but what is up with the "69".
Most folks pick a name with which they are trying to tell us something about themselves, With the postnomials "69", maybe they are telling more than we need to know.

I am not an internet wanderer, this being the only forum I visit on a regular basis, but I understand that this is not isolated to bladeforums. Is there some other significance than the one that I grew up with?

I started to use the :jerkit: but maybe the :thumbdn: would be more appropriate.

I think you nailed it right on the "head" Stacy

42 means "the answer to life, the universe and everything" (Hitchhiker's Guide fans) 420 means pothead not sure about the other numbers folks use other than the overused 666 I'm sure I could ask my stepdaughter but not going to go there

Beyond the Beavis and Butthead reaction (huh huh..) I'm not sure.... I suppose it kinda looks like the astrological Cancer symbol 90 degrees off...

Year of birth, maybe? My old email was GibsonFan_70 for that reason. Other than that, I have no comment on the matter. I just use my real name now.

I know that on car/truck/motorcycle forums, quite a few people use the year of their first/favorite/current vehicle in their screen name.

Loveless was the man , then Dozier a close second. Had a weakness for a drop-point ever since. Lots of these folks were not even born then....Man ! Doesn't time fly ???

I don't know about some of the posters, but many seem to be teenagers and young 20's. I doubt many have ever seen a 69 Harley or a 69 Mustang. ( My first new car was a 68 Mustang).

15 year old here! I don't think I've seen a 69 mustang or harley.

One of my cars is a 1969 Dodge Monaco (383, 4 barrel) another is a 74 duster (360, 4 speed, 4barrel, suregrip rear) I don't use either of those numbers (hey maybe I should call myself "monaco69)((or not!))

I have been call Indian George for over 30 years. Reason being I have
been the proud owner of a 1947 Indian Chief for that amount of time:D ( also have a 1985 FXST:thumbup:)
If you go into any Biker Bars around here and ask if George Rebello has been around they wouldn't know who you were talking about, now if you asked has Indian George been around you would get answers like this, haven't seen that F'head, no thank god he hasn't been in that MF'er and etc. HEHEHEHEHEHEHE!!!;)
