I need to determine a path for my EDC Rotation. For example, do I keep/carry/use my very rare Black Armor Umnumzaan, selling my standard one? Or let go of the limited, understanding that the difference is 100% aesthetic, and carry/use the standard one?

I'd like to do this for my entire CRK collection. So, convince me: which set do you keep, rares or standards?

I think the answer is obvious , keep 'em ALL , enjoy them all !
If you are the kind of person that looses stuff frequently then maybe not carry the rare one(s) often (or only in the house).

. . . don't listen to the voices that say 😳 " pare down " , 😳" get rid of anything you don't USE ", 😳" live in a tiny house" .
They are evil.
Or at least, no fun.
. . . you in the back . . . I'M NOT A HOARDER !
I just like the stuff I got.
. . . and lots and lots of it.
. . .go away . . . leave me alone . . .

I’d say anything you consider a forever knife, carry and use it. I pared down and sold a lot of the safe queens I had a while back. It’s just not in me to sit on stuff I won’t ever use. So I moved em to collectors that do. There’s a few I have that are going to be sold to buy other knives. Other than that the rest are forever knives. The logic is, I’m not concerned about wear n tear because they’re not going to be sold anyway. Some of these are rare but they’re not going anywhere.

Yep!

I say keep and use the rare one. Enjoy it. It's a knife after all, can't take it with you. I'm in the process of regrinding a sprint run knife I have that I can't replace. It's rare and probably would've been collectable. But I disliked that darn finger choil, so it's getting ground.

You keep a rare anything long enough, it eventually goes back down to zero value anyway, as the numbers of those who valued it pass on. Lots of folks out there with priceless silver services & China no on wants. Why waste a good knife?
