Users Only, Glams Need Not Apply

Trying to learn how to use natural tinder. Not so easy for a beginner.

try focusing less on pine needles and more on things like dry grass and small dry wood that can be processed down to shavings and scrapings (use a squared spine of the knife to get extra fine scrapings that catch a spark very easily)

Keep em coming guys. Don't get me wrong, I like the glams, and have posted several, but there's nothing like seeing them being used, or users.

That looks good man. I saw Dex' 4 like that. I thought about it, cause it looks good, but I like that bit that the baton catches.

Thanks Warrior, I am starting to like the functionality of it, but GSoMs is just so eye catching! If I did go with the straight clip, I don't think I would swedge it, so as to not create sawdust and wood chips from my baton...
GSoMs straight clipped is the third posted below.

GSoM: if you want me to remove your photo, say so. But with how this thing looks, it does make me feel like I am posting a risqué photo.

Great thread. Not only do I have to get my Beckers out more ... but I need to get some action/use shots; when I'm using I never seem to remember to photo!:eek::rolleyes:

Great pics W!
Thanks man.

As long as it's a used blade, it's all good. I wanted user shots, but sometimes it's hard to take photos of yourself using them. My wife usually takes the action shots.

Try watching some Dave canturbery videos he has some great vids on the subject and focus more on tinder gathering in the form of dead grass maybe fat wood shavings and use the 90 degree spine on the back of the knife to get some really fine almost fluff off the back of fat wood
