"Users"....what are your favourites?

I was on a Bushcraft Forum last night and did a post of the knives I owned...took my a good while to think it through and discovered I owned 56 knives...which is a lot more than I need...so I thought I would narrow down what I would keep if I were just looking at users...and aside from a couple of Bushcraft knives...my choices all turned out to be Infi...here they are...

I went for 2 of each size range that I would consider the best for the job...the KZ, the NMFBM, Basic 9, FSH Variant, SJTAC Variant and the S5LE...the other two were my Hattori KD30 and a Woodlore...really 8 knives covers it all for me except for folders and multi-tools...so no more than 12 say for the whole lot...two lock knives, a SAK Champ and a Leatherman...with maybe a key ring slippy added on...basically a "Bakers Dozen" would do it all....what do you think? How small could you pair it down?


Now if I sold the remaining 43 knives....maybe that life long hunting trip to Alaska I have been promising myself might not be so much of a pipe dream?:D:eek: And I would get to keep my favourites:thumbup: So what are your favourite users?
 
I could probably live and be happy with just a Skinny ASH, NMSFNO, CGFBM and a Spyderco Paramilitary.
The good news is I don't have to!:D
 
My favorite Busse "users" are my OJ Warden and my FBMLE. They do a great job. The Cultellus has seen some hard duty as well.

among my busse knives:
BAD
SJTAC
SARsquatch
FFBM

and since they're related:
S5LE
DFLE
yard guard/hook

not that I'm about to get rid of any of the others. :D
 
If you own a SJLE you can rest easy knowing you will never need that particular knife. You should sell it to me! :p

Also, as always my Tanker A is my favorite user.
 
Just for the record and to offer apologies to a good mate....there is another knife on my webbing which I will always keep...missed this one in the draw count off because it was'nt there :foot:....total owned is therefore 57...sort of a Heinz variety number...let's hope my pension plan is as popular as his soup:D
 
Small: Active Duty, millie and boney.
Large: Battle Mistress, CG and ZT (Bushwacker!!!)
Medium: SFNO and Skinny ASH
Folder: Spyderco Paramilitary x2
 
baby jesus/buddha/etc is crying because we even have to make the distinction of users or not. used INFI is happy INFI. unused INFI is abused INFI. don't abuse your INFI. your INFI doesn't like dark safes and drawers and boxes, it needs oxygen and human contact. lots of love and attention. love your INFI.

as for my choices -

I like this setup:

* RUCK
* CG ASH
* BAD

or this one (which I think will be a GREAT all-around one-two punch):

* SAR-8
* newer HACK with the bigger/useful choil

or this one of quasi-straight-handled goodness:

* Bushwacker Mistress
* SHSJ
* Culti

honestly, I'd like to have all of them so I could shift the groups like that.

actually my convexed pumpkin GW gets carried every day. It does a bit of work,

but for most things I grab my modded SS. It is dirty, scratched up and sharp.

I don't get to use my FBMLE as much, but it does large chopping well.

CGash1 does not slice too well, but it is a good mid sized chopper. I may have to thin this one out though.

^^ what's going on with your GW's handle fasteners, I don't recall reading about that... looks like wax or epoxy or something in the tube fasteners?

those were glow in the dark mod's, pretty sweet.:thumbup:

Ding, Ding, Ding.......we have a winner. They glow in the dark.

If you have the knife out and about in the dark, and drop it, you can find it again.

If you give it a charge with your flash light it will glow for hours.

I am actually thinking about getting some of the better glow in the dark powder, and redoing it on the game warden, and adding them to my SS with some longer lasting glow dust. It some of the stuff will last for 12 hours I guess.

I did not do that mod, some one else did it and I bought it from him.(Samhain73 is his name on here, I think he does this regularly to his knives).
 
Rat Trap, Active Duty, Sarsquatch, Bandicoot, Battle Rat, in roughly that order of use frequency.
