Users!

Just got to use my HR today at work. We had to work on some equipment, and it came in a bunch of wooden crates and containers. I didn't get any pics of the actual use, but here are some "after" shots. The wood was some type of hardwood, so chopping penetration wasn't that deep, but still quite adequete.

What really impresses me about the HR is the lateral prying strength. The wood was very hard, so downward stabs didn't go in very far, but by stabbing, and then prying sideways, I manged to rip and tear quite a few holes through the wood. As expected, it handled it like a champ with absolutely no visible damage or bends.

I also tried hammering the butt end down repeatedly. All the force is focused on the nub, which I would NOT want to be on the receiving end of! Left a bunch of good sized divots in the wood. It also batoned a bunch of hard 2x4's (with lots of knots) easily.

All in all, the HR may just be my new favorite mid-sized knife, beating out my beloved Scrapper 6 and BATAC LE.

Lookin' good, 8! And killer video clip.

It's about time for some coffee in the sticks, isn't it? The cool weather and the rain get me the so eager to get out. Oh, and I should have a new toy soon to try out. :)
