Same way you make a wood rake, except you put the ranger band on the back instead of a handle.

Hand sanitizer goo works pretty well for starting fires too, kind of like petro-jelly, but more convienent, ya know? Squirt a puddle, knock a spark in it, an' poof! Fire! 75% alchohol. Fairly long burntime, cheap, portable, multiple uses. Could possibly work with penny-stove...not tried it.

Hmmm, nice. I never tried just lighting a puddle. I have put it on cotton balls though, and it dried out pretty damn fast, and burned fast.
