Using a mischmetal ferro rod / firesteel with various tinders

Great Video...now put it on your site and mention that you sell all those types of tenders and you're in business. I was actually impressed by the jute cord, I thought it would be harder to light. I've used the others and they performed about like I expected but, I didn't expect the jute to do so well.

Great video Storl! I am a fan of using just found on the spot materials for fire starting but... that almost made me eat cold a few times. We were just doing it for the hell of it so no real risk of anything. In case of a real emergency I would be glad to have something to fluff up for my sparks to catch on. A kleenex works great but doesn't burn very long. Pine pitch/resin also does a great job but in its liquid state you better smear it into something like pine needels or so. As you said, you need surface area.

Thanks, guys. You are all right, I need it up on my site. I am working on a videos page with all of my videos that should be ready soon.
