Using right handed knives in left hand?

Are you referring to the opening or closing? Or the way the clip is mounted?

I'm also left handed, although somewhat ambi for many things.

I prefer ambi type knives, my two most common EDCs are Spyderco and Benchmade. However I also use two other knives frequently, a Strider SNG and a small Sebenza.

The SNG is RH but, as strange as you may think it, the clip being on the "wrong" side actually works to my advantage. I believe it aids in giving me a stronger grip on the knife.

The Sebbie is LH, I was very pleased with that purchase. :)

The only problem with the SNG is that I find it difficult to close one handed, the Sebbie I have no problem with in that regard.

Gosh! I had no idea there were so many lefties here. Now I don't feel so...unusual? I'm wondering if you other lefties close your right-handed liner locks and frame locks by turning them upside down (sharp edge up) in your left hand and using your thumb to slide the lock? Or do you have another method?

Yup, that's how I close my Kershaw & ZT folders. So far I've been lucky to not have cut myself that way.:D.

I usually whack them on the spine with a hammer until the lock gives...:D
