I know a young man who was recently promoted to Corporal after one year in the Corps and is considering making it a career. I'd like to get him something special. Please post any knives associated with the Marines.

Every Marine wants a Kabar, and there is a USMC stamped one. (Some schools are over a year. If the person is still in one of their training schools, it would be good to verify first if there are any knife regs from the command.)

The Case Marines line of traditional folders would be another good option. and get it engraved.

Knife associated with the Marines ... Only two I can think of are the KaBar "Marine Corps Fighting Knife" and the "USMC" stamped (as opposed to the "US" stamped) venerable Camillus "Demo Knife". I forget what the USMC stamped variation model number is.
I'm pretty sure the Leathernecks were issued the "US" stamped Demo Knife as well as the one with "USMC" on the mark side handle.

There's a Buck M9 with the USMC on the tang out there...if you can find one and want to spend the money.

What does he do in the Marines? If he‘s not in the field much, perhaps some type of commemorative Kabar would be nice that he can display. Another idea, get him something he’d use regularly and have an engraving done on it. When I was in the Marines I did carry a Kabar in the field, but my Swiss Army knife and Leatherman got used 100 times more than the Kabar.
