Well, it turns out that the Raider stiletto that I had assumed was carried in WW2 by my grandfather actually belonged to a buddy of his, so I've decided to let it go. My father has located the original along with his uniform and some documents(he had forgotten that there were two). The initials on the sheath are my grandfathers but were added sometime after the war. The blade is missing about an 1/8 in. of the tip but the knife is in pretty good shape aside from a bit of pitting here and there. The camillus etch is still there but barely visible without the right lighting. There doesn't appear to be any deterioration of the handle. The sheath is orig. Email for pics.
