It's been a while since I've posted, but i finally rate some freedom of communication so here i am! Figured I'd come by and see what you fellas think i should put on my short list. So here goes: what does a young devil pup such as myself need to have as an active duty air winger.

Things to note: currently my collection consists of a custom fb from tk steingauss (a nice 4" cpm 3v hunting/boot tactical) burger lexk, and benchmarked m390 tsek. I had and sold a large tanto seb and have had a nice selection of benchmades , a spyderco or three and a couple barkies

I would say a Spyderco Military would be the 1st choice for a folder. :)

Wish they were around back in the early 80's when I was in.

Get yourself a good multi tool, and your pretty much GTG seems you have all the other bases covered.

Yeah, i got what i wanted and stopped. Any recommendations for quality multitools? Something with a nice steel and tight tolerances... after being spooiled by the aforementioned knives i think a Gerber or leather man would just piss me off lol

for what you do a Leatherman OHT would be perfect, regardless how pissy you would get haha......

you should get 1 then ship it out to get it engraved with USN on the side ;) haha..... I'll do it for free lol :D

all kidding aside a OHT is an excellent multi-tool

I'll probably send my custom back to steingauss to get a molle lock sheath and the clip sharpened :-D

As a former air winger myself I would say alcohol and plenty of it! That and a leatherman.

I wish they even made multi tools back when I was in. Having been a Grunt I carried the USMC Kabar fighting knife. Seeing you seem to have all the bases covered I would second a good multi tool. I have carried a Leatherman Super tool everyday for almost 17 years. I use it more than anything else I own. Semper Fi brother!!!!!!

Leatherman Charge Ti uses a reasonably solid linerlock for its S30V blade. Worth a look at a B&M, if you have one near you.

a leatherman got me threw a lot ig situations. Always hade an Oldtimer Stockman to do more detailed carving. and a large sheath knife for big jobs.

What you really need is eyes in the back of your head. Marines are thieving bastards. I had buddies who went so far as to dummy cord their knives to themselves so that they wouldn't get lost/stolen/acquired. Just saying.

Best multitools are Victorinox Swisstools. I carry the more compact and ergonomic Swisstool Spirit.

A beer and some sandals your in the air wing brother lol j/k. Sorry had to do it. Semper Fi brother 0331 out

All you need is a good sense of humor, a strong liver, and some prophylactics. A cheap mulit-tool that you don't mind becoming either lost, stolen, broken, borrowed, or destroyed is also helpful.

Not helpful & wrong.
To op.
Aside from rifleman what is your MOS?
Semper Fi.
