I recently acquired a Camillus USN MK2 Fighting Knife w/plastic scabbard. The lower snap-fastener on the knife hilt strap of the scabbard is broken. Any suggestions on how this can be repaired or replaced would be greatly appreciated. The knife itself is tight and in pretty good shape.

That should be a fiberglass scabbard not plastic unless its a reproduction. That should be a fairly standard brass rivet if I remember right so a local cobbler, saddlemaker, or other leather worker may be able to help you out. Those aren't hugely rare or expensive knives so I would also just look for a replacement sheath.
