Let me start off by saying that I always say use the USPS, and defend them when problems arise. Also, I know that this is a busy time of year for shipping so please don't tell me that.
With that said........
Three weeks ago I bought a new straight razor rack, which was shipped priority. It took 10 DAYS for me to get it from Tennessee. I bought or traded for three knives two weeks ago, which were all shipped priority. I got two of them within two days. I am still waiting on one (from Kansas), and it has been 9 days now! It seems to be taking a tour of Texas, making basically a complete circle around my down according to the tracking. It is hanging out in Houston now, which under normal conditions is either one or two days away. So I am expecting it Saturday:)
Yes, it's busy but come on!

usps has been terrible lately for me as well. Took 9 days for a knife to ship 80miles away. That's insane!

I did get my product though and it is a very busy time of the year. It sucks but I'm understanding for the most part :)

Since I started this, I need to update with the fact that USPS delivered my box at 8:30 this morning. They are working OT to make sure that everything is delivered today that was sent out last week. Now I feel bad since I have not worked this week.......
Merry Christmas everyone!

I've had a few overdue's during the pre Christmas rush, but all are delivered. As of last Monday,I do recall,Express service was no longer a garauntee'd delivery. My post man said his screen just said " not available',when that service was entered ( delivery date info). I've had great success with USPS ,though.
Merry Christmas everyone

A week to 10 days is expected around this time of the year, as all systems are wayyyyyy overloaded. Similar delay occurs due to bad weather as well.

Yes, USPS is working hard to get all packages delivered as much as possible in time for Christmas.

USPS has always been and will be my first choice for shipping anything and everything!

Merry Christmas everyone and may usps deliver your packages in time! :-)

That's too bad. I ordered some goodies on the 17th and had them here on the 22nd. That's a long time for me, I usually see shipments in the 2 to 3 day range.

I have a knife that is being shipped today, wish me luck!

I feel your frustration. I sent XMas gifts home to VA from Texas with two day priority postage for around $38 and it took 7 days to get to my parents. I too understand this time if year and how busy it is but when paying for a priority service.....come on. I will be seeking a refund just based on principle. I truly hope everyone here has a great Christmas and safe travels.

I too have had a few knives I've sold in the last couple weeks take 6-8 days. All shipped USPS Priority. The odd thing is, two of them didn't have any tracking updated after they left, until the day they arrived. Some still arrived in 2-3 days though. In the end it all worked out because they finally showed up.
Overall Priority mail is still typically very good. After the holidays maybe things will get back on track.
It is irritating though because I always ship out the day something is paid for, if it is early enough, or worst case scenario the next day. I like people to get their stuff as quickly as possible. The couple people that have had to wait have been very cool and understanding though..

Just to put things in perspective...My mail van is a Chevy Uplander. For the past 3 weeks I have not been able to see out the back window!! I have even had to break my parcel load in half to be able to have room to work the mail. My parcel volume has been 8-10 times higher than last Christmas. On top of that they have a team of new guys trucking packages out to us as they arrive during the day.

I do think the USPS has taken "OUR SEASON" seriously this year--with new tracking system and real time scanning- things are changing for the better for us to help our customers!
