USPS Blues. Undelivered package

I found one that serves Canada, called ShipSimple. I was directed by the sales agent I spoke with to look at their instructions for packaging fine art, as she figured that would be closest to what I was describing, i.e. handmade knives. It required taking pics at each step in the packaging process, to prove you were properly securing the item (instructions seems to assume a framed painting or such). The final step was to clearly label the package as "Fragile - Fine Art". That was pretty jarring to me, and here is why:

I think the USPS is like any big business, the bigger you get, the more likely you are to hire a less than ideal employee. If only 1% of the population are idiots, and you have almost 34,000 branches, 340 of them will have bad employees.
I've never really had any issues shipping from the PNW to various places around the country until this year, when my Father's Day card took 3 weeks to get to Chicago. I started to believe what folks are saying about the decline of the USPS, but I just had a transaction where I mailed a check to someone across the country who was going to ship my product after the check cleared. I mailed the check on the 28th of August and got the product delivered Saturday.
That seems to be pretty good shipping times in my book.

I shipped out one of my handmade knives on the 2nd and usps never scanned it. It doesn't show anything except that I created the label. I tried filing for a missing mail claim but hasn't helped.

And the guy who said he has never had a problem, I just had two packages stolen from the mail parcel (big boxes below regular boxes in the community center). One was a replacement shower handle, no big deal. The other was a gorgeous piece of stabilized koa for a client's knife. All of this after a knife repair never showed up, and the client pretty much blamed me because I wouldn't demand the post office manager, our delivery driver, and myself to hold an in person meeting, after going through the usual USPS nonsense system. I am beyond pissed off. This actually wasn't USPS's fault. The door from one of the large parcel boxes is laying on the ground with the key still in it. It wasn't like that yesterday, it happened last night. I am absolutely disgusted by people who steal.

Recently I had a USPS situation that pissed me off. Was sending a knife to Norway using international first class. Knife made it to LA and tracking said it left but no new check in scan. I tried to file a claim only to realize that international first class basically has zero status in the postal system.

I figured it was a stolen knife and then the box shows up on my door step saying it was x-rayed and found to be a knife which is a potentially harmful item and so it can not go on an airplane. Even got a big sticker saying ground shipping only.

Totally ridiculous, some LA Karen is overly concerned about a knife in a box!!!
