Wow. I have had good experiences lately with USPS. Guess I’m lucky.
However, my local UPS has mis-delivered and lost more packages from Amazon in the last year than I have ever experienced.
The icing on the cake was around thanksgiving.
I was expecting s package delivered as tracking said it was “out for delivery” but gave up as it was getting late and decided it would probably show up the next day.
About 9:30-10:00 pm I was standing in the garage doing some nightly knife maintenance before going to bed when I heard loud music and brakes squealing followed by a loud crash. I figured it was the teenagers across the street. All of the sudden there was a loud thud at the door, like someone slammed into it.
I armed myself and headed for the living room. The wife, knowing me, hollered from upstairs “THAT was UPS”! So I put the pistol down and opened the door in time to see a banged up electric leaf blower package, I ordered some sausage making supplies not a leg blower, sitting on my doorstep and the UPS truck pulling off like the mailman from the movie funny farm.
So apparently the driver was running late, jamming loud music, slammed the brakes so that all the packages in his truck shifted and crashed, and threw someone else’s package at my door before speeding off to his next victim/delivery.
