Great perseverence on chasing down the post-woman! I know the disappointment of the dreaded pink slip and having to wait til the morning (happened with one of my Badgers). On my second Badger I was fortunate enough that it was packaged in a small enough box to go in the mail box (I live in a neighborhood with locking boxes); that was a great thrill -- reach in for the mail, pull out a Badger.
The comparison pix are great. I have an SFNO and the Badgers are much smaller, so it was interesting for me to see how similar in size they are to the NO-e.
I love handles that allow multiple grips. For me the SF handle is the best for that, but the TAC handle is good. It allows the four grips I use the most -- standard, choke up on the choil, back to the pommel for chopping (though the Badger is marginal for this IMO), and the reverse grip (icepick). Your pix illustrate these well. This is why I have gone after the E-handles or the fusion handles; they just don't seem like they'd work for all the grips I use.
