My daily carry is usually my 98 Pre Production Commander or 00 green g10 silver serrated. I also have been carrying my MACH 1 and SARK from time to time.

when I am in my home state, .357 colt trooper loaded with .38 hydrashocks for now, soon to be replaced with a glock 30.
a keltech 9mm or .32 is coming soon as a stop-gap measure.

to whoever said that they feel unarmed, if you need to move your hand more than about 18 inches to access a weapon on your person, you are underarmed. get some emerson and JSP stuff fast.

Wow, makes the utilityvs. weapon thing mute with some of this stuff. No Emmerson stuff yet, want to get my hands on some before commiting to a Commandar/Sark combo. For now its usually a Spyderco Chinook or a REKAT Carnivore in my right pocket, and sometimes a bm 42 in the left.

Always been the '98 Black T'd plain edge Commander in the right pocket and now the Waved CQC-7 satin plain edged in the left. I would like to send this one off to get it bolstered and left-side clipped.

as to other stuff that I carry, that's a whole 'nother story

PS Eric nice job on the polishing of the LCC!

On Duty-helo- Glock 17 with 2 30 rd. Glock 18 mags, Streamlight polystinger, Strider GB folder, Gerber multi-tool, Emerson P-Sark, La Griffe. Colt LE6920 with all the goodies.

Off Duty-Glock 36, Surefire's new polymer 6 volt light, spare mag, Emerson Commander, La Griffe, and a P-Sark, and a P.U.K.-I always have a Strider fixed blade somewhere close by. Thanks to Derek, I can't live without my Handspring Visor.

Special Occasions-I am truely spoiled by the choices. The inside of the safe is pretty impressive.

I reach into the vault and grab whatever moves me, although I like to keep some toys around that I can enjoy. Today in my briefcase I have 2 CQC 6's, a CQC 8, my CM1 and my prototype Specwar. In my pocket is a Johnny Stout version of a CQC7. And, just in case, my S&W CQB Performance Center .45 is available. jbravo: How about a review of that Strider.

Hey Ross, thanks for the compliment on my LCC HP job. It took a bit of time, but I'm happy with the results. Now I guess I need to by another one because I can't bring myself to use the High Polish blade.

Nothing like creating good excuses to buy duplicate blades.

Hey!

You're in Texas, carry a Fixed Blade! As far as I know, the blade length restriction is 5.0 or 5.5, I can never remember which. As long as it is not double edged, you're good to go.

"You are no more armed because you are wearing a pistol than you are a musician because you own a guitar." ~Jeff Cooper
And the same goes for a knife...
And, I'm a Usual Suspect.

The legal blade length in Texas is 5.5 inches. That is as long as it is not a dagger, dirk, poinyard, bowie knife, switchblade, gravity knife, bali song or knife that is designed to be opened by centrifugal force.
The laws are somewhat open to interpretation by officer and DA, meaning if you do carry a blade with a double edge, check around with some local officers and see what the general consensus is with regard to legality. Basically if they will confiscate it from you, or take you in for it don't carry it (that should go without saying

).

must be nice. here in Chicago we can only have knives with a length of under 2.5", absoloutely NO firearms, and NO collapsible batons. i feel safer already.

i carry a La Griffe and a Spydercard everyday though, so i make the best i can out of the situation.
