OK guys. I spoke with Derek this afternoon (he is still "Internet Impaired") and brought up the possibility of getting a "Usual Suspect" marked knife.
Yes, it is possible to get a run of knives with a special laser engraving on them . . . if there is enough interest. We're talking fifteen or twenty pieces needed to get the project off the ground.
Unfortunately, I did not inquire as to the additional cost of the special marking. ("Single Guy Syndrome")
Several things need to come together to make it happen:
1. Enough people that will order knives
2. We need to decide which knife we want to make the "US" knife. Current models only (sorry, no huge Commanders
)
3. We need to decide on what exactly should be on the special marking.
What do ya'll think? Maybe this would be a "First Annual Emerson Forums Knife".
My answers:
1. I'm in for at least one. Two if need be to get the project off the ground.
2. Just to be consistent, I vote Commander.
I could like with a waved CQC7B (Plain edged?) to help keep the costs down for folks.
3. How about:
