Utica Cutlery Kutmaster Peanut giveaway

I'm in. Just got my very first Peanut the other day and can't wait to get another to use and enjoy.

Thanks for a great GAW.

Come on folks, this Peanut deserves more love!

As promised it's Friday #16 said the random number generator. Do please PM your address, I have the little Peanut in my work bag. If you get to me soon enough I will put it in the mail tomorrow. Congrats! And thanks for playing all!

Congrats bud, I'm sure you'll enjoy the peanut, Utica' s been continuously making knives since 1910, one of the last US manufacturers of knives still making knives today so you got a little piece history with your knife... :)

Thanks for the giveaway and your support of the forum, it's people like you who make this community the wonderful place it is, thank you.

I just looked again, bud you are one lucky dude, that is one awesome looking knife, those celluloid scales look fantastic.

Just a side note here to bud the winner, celluloid takes a little different care and attention than other knives, look up the care and feeding of celluloid scales/knives you'll get lots of advice.

Here's an excerpt from someone on another site about the care and feeding of celluloid..

Things You'll Need
Lens brush
Microfiber cloths
Mild dish soap
Show (1) More

Instructions
1
Remove any loose particles from the item by brushing them away with a soft lens brush. If not brushed away, loose particles may cause tiny scratches on the surface of the celluloid.

2
Dunk a microfiber cloth into a weak solution of mild dish soap and water and squeeze out the excess water thoroughly
3
Wipe down the celluloid gently with the cloth. Increase the pressure slightly to remove stuck-on matter; however, avoid using firmer pressure on hand-painted or gilded areas. Wrap the cloth over the end of a butter knife and use the wrapped knife end to access hard-to-reach cracks and embossments.

4
Dry the celluloid with a fresh microfiber cloth just after washing.

Tips & Warnings
Maintain celluloid pieces by keeping them in a dry area that is out of the way of UV rays or heater radiation.

Do not dunk or run the celluloid item under water, as oversaturation may damage the plastic.

Avoid using acetone or alcohol to clean celluloid, as these items dissolve the plastic

Mailing the little guy out now. Just wanted to pop in a pic and remind folks to reenforce your packages if you are going to send a blade in the mail!

I use clear package tape and it works great.
