The green on my Big Pine series stockman faded out and got a pocket worn kind of look after a while. Be aware, though, that when Utica says "1095" they mean "partly 1095". The main blade on their stockman is 1095, the other two are some kind of un-named stainless. I was pretty disappointed to find that out after the fact. Someone on here once pointed out that their website says somewhere that not all the blades on their knives are 1095, but apparently they don't much care that their authorized dealers conveniently leave that part out of the sales literature. Hasn't stopped me from carrying it once in a while, but it was (and is) a disappointment never the less. Also, my Big Pine stockman had a lot of play in the spey blade, in the open position and so much closed that it rattled when I shook it. I put it in a vise between two scraps of wood and pressed it till the play was gone, and peened over the pivot pin and polished the bolster and so far so good. I wouldn't want it to be my main hard use knife, I just don't think it would stand up to hard use like something like a Queen or GEC, but then it's a third to half the price.
