Nah, regular DEF. They are pretty different looking. It would cool to see a side by side comparison in this thread. I’m sure there’s a shot somewhere on the sub.

Here you go Mark. You can definitely see the difference in grinds between the DE-UF, and the DEF. The DEF looks more like a dagger grind. Man, it’s difficult to get the lighting right with the satin finish.

Beautiful, thanks! I now remember that the double edged UF variant has the same primary grind while the DEF has a reduced primary grind.

Just received my first UF today.
I knew I was going to like it but honestly, I didn't think I was going to like as much as I do.

Same here^^...I have the identical configuration, and like this pattern far more than I expected as well...it handles beautifully and the balance and size are just right to my mind...

I often pull it out, close my eyes, and imagine stabbing something. Then I go back to cutting up a steak, loose thread, box, whatever. Sometimes I stab the cardboard box afterwards
