Utility/fighter random damascus and birch burl

I liked that one from the first picture. However, it looked a lot like so much of the work that is done around here. Good work, mind you. But, when I saw the second picture, and I could really appreciate the facets on the guard and handle, the knife really leapt ahead in my estimation. It went from very good to great, and unique. I was impressed from the beginning, but now that I have seen more, I am even more so. Hope what I am saying makes sense. I love what you did with the handle and guard. The blade is great, too.

May as well show the sheath.....just finished today.

that knife is a beauty! I like the way you texture the guard, is it a chemical or carving process? I bet the latter, but so well executed it looks organic!

It's carved and textured with files and a carbide bit in the dremel......then cold blued and rubbed back with 1500 grit paper.
Thanks,

Thanks Paul,
The spine is rounded over, not fullered........but that would be cool too! The symbols in the spine are the roman numerals for 2015........
Darcy:)

When I first saw the spine shot, I thought it was fullered, too! And I still swear it looks like it! Either way, it is still one very nice small bowie, and I agree with Kevin - very much in the class of the Vest Bowie style. Since you've added the sheath pic, have to say the little touch of putting the keeper strap over the top of the guard is really nice!
