These should be back in stock in a couple of months or so. Does anyone own one, have experience with one, or an educated guess if it is as good or better quality than the original? I noticed that Case came out with an expensive version in 1998. Any opinions or information will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Fully functional, but probably not for hard use; the leather on the guard is glued on, for example.

I have one, bought simply to add to the collection of WWII weapons that I have. I have never handled a real one, so I can't compare. As it stands on its own, it is a fairly good knife for being a Chinese product. It is sitting in front of me now- I like it for what it is, but I don't use it for anything. There was an article in Tactical knives once about it, where the author said that his came shaving sharp- mine certainly was not and is not. I sharpened it on a sharpmaker and it was fairly sharp but didn't stay that way. To me it is ok to add to the collection but I don't know if I would use it hard. It would probably be fine for what the WWII daggers were designed to do. I bought mine from Brigade Quartermaster and I think that they usually have them in stock- you can also usually find coupons online for BQ and get some money off. If I can answer anything else, let me know.
