If your main concern is durability, I agree with Frank: unless you use your knife really hard, any quality knife will last longer than you're willing to carry it :p so just pick what you prefer.
I like both; I prefer friction folders in Sardinian knives and Opinel's (because that's their DNA) and slipjoints on multiblades and such (but I prefer a light pull).
