Here’s some stuff I came up with to go with my fire striker knives in a survival kit. The tweezers are work hardened mild steel, and the rest are spring tempered music wire.

Top to bottom,
Tweezers, poker, gig, spear and hooks.

Thanks guys!

Yes, it is fun. :)

I’m scheming on forging some full blown fishing lures too,… spoons and spinners. Just need to find the time.

LOL

A lot of thought went into it outside the box, but then I put it all inside the box,... Doh! :D

It ain't a sword but,... here’s the whole shebang. :)

The striker knife is 1095 and the edge guard is mild steel.

Also in the tin (same size as an Altoids tin):
Watercolor paper liner.
Hard Arkansas flint flake.
Steel wool.
Cotton cord.
Wire.

Hey Tai, I just got my Jan. Blade Mag. It was nice to see you in there, put a face to a name. The mag. The mag. comes late up here in the arctic. Neat stuff here.

I know this is an old post, but holy smokes, that's AWESOME! All a person would need is a very small roll of monofilament to go with it, and you would have an amazing survival kit.

That is awesome Tai! I'd totally buy one of those lol. I'm a sucker for kit and that's one of a kind right there. You never cease to inspire. -- doh, didn't notice it was such an old thread :P
