Let's go!

Valence Knives Gamma #65: A- rating due to fondling during work a few times. This knife is the pride and joy of my collection, and honestly my favorite knife...ever. Ever. Got this directly from the maker and it came with the tiniest bit of play (turns out the lock insert just needed to be reset) - sent it back, and he both fixed the issue and refinished the entire knife + put a polished edge on her for free. This gamma has the following options/accoutrements:

a) fully 'nuked' finish on blade and scales - think of it like a medium acid stonewash that looks at any potential wear, and laughs. The show scale is also skeletonized to reduce weight and matches the lockbar cutout.
b) full 'blurple' anodization on the clip, screws, and backspacer, all done by the maker's close friend 'tispectrum' on instagram. Absolutely the best anodization work I have ever seen, hands down.
c) a polished edge by the maker himself (performed after the refinish).
d) a full set of both anodized Ti hardware + stainless hardware + a replacement pivot + metal CoA + a massdrop pouch/cloth (lol).

Now, to wax poetic for a brief moment: this knife has, for me, arguably the best action I have ever felt on a knife, plain and simple. The detent is snappy and strong, and works just as well as an Arius when it comes to spydieflicking; the acoustics are mechanical and juicy, full of 'tings' and chunk womps; the closing has a loud 'ting' that resonates a bit due to the milling. I could spend the rest of my days flicking this knife, and only kind of feel like I wasted my time. Only luxury it's missing is a detent ramp - if there was one, this would be the king of actions for me without reserve. End waxing. This knife build, with the accompanying extras, retails at approx. ~$600 - these are no longer in production, and tracking down a skeletonized one with these options/finishes/extras is actually impossible (trust me, I tried). The only thing to note: the pivot is currently a little loose; the pivot barrel will need a cleaning and loctiting once received. $475 shipped TYD!

CKF SUKHOI 3.0 'DOMINANCE': B+ rating due to not being first owner/slight adjustments having been made to the pivot. Factory edge, absolutely no play after slight pivot adjustment, only thing to note is a tiny baby mark on the jimping that has faded after figeting with the knife - I literally couldn't capture it with my camera but tried anyways and am starting to wonder if it ever existed to begin with. The pivot could also use a cleaning as the closing action has slowed down a bit due to lint and such. Comes with pouch, CoA, extra hardware, twill CF scale onlays. $425 shipped TYD!

Massdrop Keen (bronze, groove): A rating - never used or carried, only flipped - extremely close to LNIB. Only thing to note is that there is a very slight amount of movement when actuating the flipper before the knife flips open - not even remotely close to detent play, just a miniscule shift before firing. It's possible the detent hole just needs to be cleaned. Factory edge, no play, perfect centering, excellent action. Comes with box and pouch. $145 shipped TYD!

Thanks, all!
