9" blade, 14.5" overall. Handle material is horn, what kind I don't know, I would imagine buffalo because of the size. I have small medium hands (small gloves are too tight, medium gloves a little too big), so that should help you judge the size better in that in hand shot.

The Kelapa is somewhat hard to come by. It sells out pretty quickly when Valiant gets a batch in. Very cool chopper. You can read a review of it by Old Jimbo here: http://www.oldjimbo.com/survival/valiant3.html

The surface finish on this blade is nothing to write home about. As all reviews of the Valiant goloks will tell you, they're working blades and their surfaces aren't completely smooth. I also had to thin out the edge and resharpen it because it was pretty dull out of box. Pretty easy to sharpen.

I used it numerous times chopping chicken and turkey bones down to size to put in the grinder in making food for my cats. Did a great job but chopped bones do splatter and make a mess, so when I discovered that game shears do a cleaner job I put this in the closet. It'd be nice if one of you guys would take it out to the woods where it should excel. There's patina on the blade from my use.

$70 shipped in the 48 states.Sold Elsewhere you pay for additional postage. If you're international then the risk of confiscation by customs is on you.

The only trade I'm looking for at this time are Fallkniven WM1 with neck sheath, or Therma-rest ProLite series self inflating sleeping pad.
