Hey guys! Up for grabs I have one hammer pole Valkyrie that I just finished up. I am really liking the look and feel of these in this "spikeless" version. Also the more compact head, means it fits nicely in a pack. The long cutting edge makes it perfect for bushcraft and different chopping tasks. It also allows you to choke up behind the head for smaller tasks.
It is built from 1/4" 4140 that I differentially tempered for extra toughness. The cutting edge and hammer pole are 54rc and the tang is spring tempered to 47rc.

Here are the specs.

OAL - 14.5"
Head length - 5.5"
Cutting edge - 3.75"
Steel - .250" 4140 carbon steel. Differentially tempered
Weight - 25oz
Handle - Natural canvas micarta
Features - Flared stainless tubes
Sheath - coyote Brown Kydex sheath
Price - Sold Priority shipping w/ insurance
Paypal or postal money order preferred

This one is sold. I have two more I just finished up available though. One canvas like this one and with Gray Tero Tuf.

those are really, really nice! they do look like they'd be very comfy when choking up. do you think one could extend the handle scales farther, for more solid grip, or would that put the piece off balance?
thanks, Neal

The reason I don't run the scales up, like you see on other Hawks, is that it basically means you are smashing them every time you cut through something. It also gets in the way of chopping performance.
An alternative would be a paracord wrap around that section of the tang.

Here are the other two that are ready to go.
