Value Knives

Any Mora
Buck 110
Becker BK2
Buck paklite
Victornix and Wenger SAK's
Condor Bushlore, Rodan, Kumunga

and yeah, the crkt hammond cruiser is quite the underrated heavy dog, my only complaint was the handle too thick for edc so I sanded it down to a more usable profile.

Kershaw Skyline and Spyderco Tenacious are quintessential $30 locking folders in my opinion.

Cold Steel: Spartan, American Lawman, AK47, TriAd Voyager, G10 Espada

Cold Steel's $50-100 offerings are pretty fantastic. Their strength and lockup is not like anything else you'll get for the price.

My first good knife was a CRKT M16-04 12 years ago.

So this seems to be a thread that just lists all knives under $60 because there is no concrete criteria for what makes something a value other than personal opinion.

Buck vantage anyone? Modern folders aren't my cup of tea but I heard vantages are good as long as you know how to adjust them. never heard a bad thing about a skyline either. Svord peasants are good. As for fixed blades moras, old hickory, becker necker, and condors are great.

Since you didn't specify folders only, I assume you didn't intend to. So...

Becker BK2
Becker BK14
Becker BK11
KaBar Dozier Folding Hunter
Victorinox - too many models to name.
Buck 110 and 112
Most of the Moras

Of course there is. There's plenty of $60 crappy knives around and there's some high value ones available - we're giving our opinions of the latter.

What's your contribution other than running your jaw?

In my experience, cheap stuff that works great out of the box:
Mora
Victorinox
Fiskars hatchet
Coghlan's sierra saws

Stuff that needs a little work but still great values:
Svord Peasant
Cold steel 1055 products (hawks, machetes, throwers)

I'm sure Opinel is great, too. I will own one someday.

You can get an ESEE Izula for less than 50 bucks and it's tough as nails, suitable for EDC, and if you manage to break it they have a no questions asked warranty. Knife does work.
