I'm selling it. I bought the knife new in 1974. I just wasn't sure when I bought it because it was so long ago. I think I'll hold out for more money now. Thanks for all your help guys. This is a great forum!

boomer, unless you REALLY need the $$ ,you might want to re-consider selling. i've always regretted selling those things that are not made anymore. great knife!!! a classic. paul

Tell your friend that he can get a new Buck 110 at Wal-Mart for $26, and put yours away...Even if you got $100 for it, that $100 won't solve any $$$ problems... :(

Stupidest thing I ever saw was somebody spending grocery money on lottery tickets... :grumpy:

Yep. What those gents typed; don't sell it.

That is a very nice knife and worth hanging on to.

...???...He *bought* it???...

I thought he was *selling* it...

If somebody offers you $50 for it, that means *you're* selling it... ;)

OK, if boomie123 bought it for $50, it's a great deal!!! :D

Old people should be collected by special trucks and taken to a recycling facility for those who don't have enough to eat... :grumpy:

From one of my favorite books...

Theroux's Happy Isles (1992):

It was a theory of mine that former cannibals of Oceania now feasted on Spam because Spam came the nearest to approximating the porky taste of human flesh. ‘Long pig’ as they called a cooked human being in much of Melanesia. It was a fact that the people-eaters of the Pacific had all evolved, or perhaps degenerated, into Spam-eaters. And in the absence of Spam they settled for corned beef, which also had a corpsy flavor.

Yak at ya Long Pig Brahs later...back to work...
