I picked up a Buck 112 D2 - cat # 1554, Ducks Unlimited Canada - '50 yrs of Conservation 1938-1988' in tan display case. Nickle bolsters, green laminated handle w/ engraved scene on of march and ducks on one side of blade. Any idea what is the value of it is? Thanks for any help.

Ray,
I looked the knife up in Levine's and it says we made them in 1988 and sold them for about $125. It also says that they are worth the same amount today. We made 2000 of them.
Hope this helps.

I was filling out an electronic order for thru the custom shop, last week and it didn't work. I have to find an affordable nickle bolstered 112 user - some one help me out!

I passed on two of them at a show I was at on Sunday - this DU one just caught my eye.

Ray,
Here is my "take" on this sort of thing, your opinion may vary.
Lets say you hang on to your DU knife for another 10 years hoping it will appreciate in value. To buy another 112 in nickel silver must cost less than you hope your current one will appreciate in that time or it is not a good decision.
I know this is a radical idea but i am in favor of using knives to cut stuff with. :-)
I recently liquidated a large collection of vintage fishing lures because they were not doing me any good locked away and i could use the money right now for lures that i could actually tie on and use!
Anyways.
Take care

Thanks again - I am gonna USE it, screw hanging on to it! Knives are made to be use!

Larry,
You are, once again, correct! I am not positive of when we switched but i know that in 1988 we were using 425 mod.

Thanks,
