I have two Mike Irie knives, both I believe are the bird and trout models. Both have naked handles. I just want to know what they might be worth. I heard that Mike might not be making knives anymore; anyone know for sure?

I don't know what your knives might be worth- It's hard without a picture.

But, I can ASSURE you that Mike is doing great and making lots of super knives. He has no plans at all to stop.

What gave you the idea that he was not gong to continue?

A rumor like this is bad form unless you know really something factual that nobody else does.
Could you please clarify and provide some details?

I would not want to spread rumors; I was simply replying to what I read in an archived thread in this forum. I live in Colorado Springs, that is why I was so surprised to read such a thing. That he is still going strong makes me quite happy. I would love to get one of his Sweet Thing blades.

I am a great fan of Mike and his skills. When he was with Barry Wood, I bought all my budget would allow. He was a great addition to this team. I only wish he was still making Barry's design.

Mike did take some time off a while back and was not making knives.
But, as Neil said he is back, his work looks great and he's always been a good guy.

Hey Kevin!

Small world, ain't it? I usually hang out over in the Makers forums so I didn't see this thread until today.

I hope you're happy with the price you got; I'm happy with the price I paid. FWIW, there's another AMK 100 on ebay right now with no bids.
