Hi all! Looking to get some help on pricing...

Would a Small Insingo w S30V and NO "Idaho Made" stamp have some collectibility/desirability that would command a price higher than the current "Idaho Made" Small Insingo offering?

I don't collect CRKs so not sure of resale values, but I remember seeing all the grumblings about going to the Idaho Made. I have looked through a bunch of older sales threads, but thanks to the moronic practice of removing prices, could not come up with anything and am thus seeking your help :)

Thanks in advance for your help with this!

I don't know if NO stamp gets more...possibly as I've seen some folks prefer the NON stamped knives.
As for price range...I've seen them go in the $300-330 range for prior owned.

The other thing I forgot to mention is that it seems they are not in stock...but that may have changed recently. I don't check daily like I was now that I have one.

I think it might be a preference for some to get a sebbie with no stamp but I dont think it warrants a hike in price. More importantly would be what condition the knife is in and if it comes with box and papers. \
The insignios are popular and Im sure you will have no problem getting rid of it very quickly.

Personally I were buying a used Sebenza and there were two to pick from in identical condition one having the stamp and the other did not, I would pay a little more for the one without the stamp but not much more. It's really not that big a deal to me. Maybe some years later the ones without the stamp may rise in value as they all disappear in private collections and become hard to find!

I don't think it would make any difference in price..... It shouldn't anyways. You buy a sebenza to cut with the blade, you don't cut with or without the "Idaho Made" lettering on the handle. For people to say they will never buy a sebenza with the "Idaho Made" wording on it is rediculas. That just means more for me.

I have a Star-Tac umnumzaan and today my Ti-Lock arrived, both with the "Idaho Made" wording and I love them. It's hardly noticeable unless your looking for it.

My main concern is that I am getting a quality made USA product by a quality USA Company.

There will be people that may pay more for a plain one, but that's up to the individual. Like anything, an item is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

I think that the current general preference is for non-IM stamped knives, particularly Sebenzas. However, I wouldn't imagine that the aftermarket premium would be more than a few bucks - maybe 5-10%? That may change over time as the non-stamped knives become more "vintage" and take on a greater appeal as collector pieces. I think that proper documentation would trump the stamp to true collectors, especially those who are willing to pay higher prices for what they want.
