Anyone ever hear of Vance Francis? He has a shop near Alpine. I picked up a knife of his and it seems really well made. I'm just wondering if anyone else has something made by him.
 
While I don't have any of his blades I've seen several - mid-sized bowies. His work is very nice and priced as such - expect to pay about $400 for a mid-sized bowie. I do believe he's in Alpine. There is a nice knife shop in Julian that I think carries his knives.
