I'm sure the newer ones, the "fixed" versions, come with the phosbronse washers. The first ones had nylon washers. BTW, calling these type washers (nylon) is giving them way to much credit. I am sure they are made from "nylon" but they are cheap and flimsey and deform much to easily. *this aplies to not only Buck, but other Co.s as well. If the tolrences of a pivot design are well made, the washers will only need to seperate the blade from the handle and will not be relied upon to control side to side play of the blade to inprove pivot/lock up actions.
