I just got my 345'Vantage select in the mail today. Wow! This thing is sweet. I found none of the issues that other people have with theirs. Solid lock up, blade centering is right on. And it was pretty dang sharp too. However, I'm super anal about my knives being sharp. Most people call it scary sharp but I usually call it stupid sharp. It took me maybe 5 minutes to get it stupid sharp. Perfect 30 degree bevel from the factory. I'm in love!! Just wanted to share. :)

Yep, I'm a fan of the vantage and it's a real looker when it's dressed up a bit;).

A Vantage is defiantly my next blade purchase. I see several models in the near future.

Thanks for sharing your positive experience. Kinda funny how people with a positive experience will not say a thing, or only mention it once, but someone with one bad experience will bring it up over and over....

I like collecting the pretty ones but a plain jane 345 I picked up for cheap at WalMart is in my back pocket as I type this.

jb4570 already showed us his but I can't help myself, this Hornady Vantage is one of my favorite gun & knife pictures......

Here is a Buck 346 Vantage made for Bond Arms. I'm pleased to have it as it matches the grips on my derringer very well. My knife handle is Rosewood and is also available in black ash to match other Bond Arms grips.
The model derringer shown here is called a SnakeSlayer IV in 45 Colt / 410.

Nice pictures Roger!! :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Thanks for sharing these guys! Mine is startIng to break in smoothly. I also dismantled it yesterday, cleaned everything and oiled the pivot area with some Nano-oil. Smooth as butter. And SHARP! I can't help it but I've been plotting making some wood scales for it. I think I have enough teak to use

Thanks guys. I kinda ran outa time to work on them today but they are definitely doable as is. I think I'm going to round them over a little more and fine tune it

That looks sharp Bighaze!! :thumbup:

I have a bunch of old cherry wood, hummmm……………...

I got mine off the bay and I have no problems with it. It is in my pocket daily.

They are great knives and my EDC most of the time now. Very hard to beat at the price point and I simply really like mine! I think Buck really has a winner with this one.

Nice special editions/mods!

I have yet to get one but keep looking at them. Those wood handle ones are lovely.
