vantage pro

Check out the Buck Knives sub-forum, there's some info about the whole new line of knives. I think there'll be more than 20 new models throughout the year.

Any word about whether they'll be discontinuing the original Vantage Pro in the wake of the new model's release?

I am curious as well. Although I don't think they will because technically this isn't a vantage pro, it's a vantage force or something like that I think.

Apparently not, most of the models that will be replaced by new ones have already been deleted from their website, even if their replacements are not ready yet.

And, as they have already stated, this is just a new model added to de Vantage series, that's why it's called the Vantage Force

I bought my Vantage Pro over the holidays even though I swore off liner locks. It really is an excellent knife, so I assume the newest iteration will be as well.

The 340 series Vantage Pro is among Buck's very best buys.

The more expensive 840s series ($135 list!) seems aimed at higher profits. There doesn't seem to be any other reason for such a large price increase.

I, too, would like to see Buck come out with a frame lock Vantage Pro.

I just got my vantage pro in. LOVE IT

i got mine friday afternoon. very good knife, IMO it's worth every dollar that i paid for it (probably more).

p.s. there are only a few small ergonomic "flaws" (for my hands). i'll probably just spend the 10-15 minutes to sort them out, then the knife should be excellent (again, for my hands).

Yes a Frame lock Vantage pro would be great,I don't know why I didn't think of it.

I am really looking foward to the new Force Vantage. Does anyway have an ETA on when they are available?

I've been using an original Vantage Pro for almost two years, and I think it's one of the best buys in the knife world. Don't think much of the Force - black blades have nowhere to go but downhill in terms of aesthetics if actually used - but as long as they keep the original and its affordable price point, I have no problem with it.
