Mine arrived today, and it has made a VERY high first impression!!!

How Buck does these stateside for under $22.00 is beyond me, cause it sure is slick.

Out of the box it's razor sharp and has zero blade play. Locks up rock solid.

The ergonomics are great, it's thinner than I had expected, and sits in your pocket perfect.

My concerns about the liner lock blocking the thumbhole for southpaws like me, were somewhat valid, I do have a little trouble thumbing it open from the left side, BUT I find that the knife opens so butter smooooth, that I can flick it from the other side, using the tip of my left index finger, so no problem there!

Buck has hit a real home run out of the park with this line!!!!!

How is the blade finish on yours. The more I use it the more I love mine but damn the blade got hit with an ugly stick.

On the one hand I am glad to hear this, on the other hand, I think might have to send mine back to get a better blade. Thanks for the info.

Mine arrived last week.....it's as Awesome as expected.
Buck never lets me down, Thanks Buck Guys & Gals.

Pics?

Thinking about getting one for my wife after I get a Pro for myself.;)

Here ya go, I carried it today for the first full day, and man you just forget it's there. It is so slim and light it carries perfect.

My current "go to " store is sold out of the s30v version, but I will get one as soon as they get them in!

Well fitted liner lock!

The liner does somewhat cover teh thumb hole to much for a southpaw, but after playing with it awhile, I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I'll probably order one of these to play with until the demand for the Pro and Avid dies down. Looks well-built, made here in the USA, and you can't beat the price.

Is the clip removable? I'm not one for pocket clips, but it's not a dealbreaker.

Yep, it's held on on the end, similar to some SOG knives. 2 T6 torx screws hold it on, so it can be reversed for southpaws or taken off completely.

Can you post a pic of the blade? It should have our Standard finish (tumbled back/choil, and 'raw' hollowgrind).

Glad you all like the new product

Lets see if I can get this picture thing to work.
Sorry it is so blurry but I took it with my phone.

It is hard to tell from that photo. The configuration is correct, but I'm worried that the hollowgrind lines are too deep. It does seem to have some staining on it.
Stock here seems to be ok and what I would expect.

Clip is removable or can be swapped to the other side.

Jeff,

Thanks for your reply. The general finish is a bit course but there are some areas that are worse (deeper) than others. There also seems to be some discoloration as if it had been heated in the process but this is just a guess on my part.

Initially I had intended to send it in but the shipping would amount to 1/4 the cost of the knife and honestly, the darn thing just works so I am willing to live with it. I purchased it mainly for work in the yard and the shop so being pretty isn't mandatory.

Based on the pictures others have posted of theirs, I have ordered an Avid and expect it will be another story entirely. Thanks again for taking the time to reply. It really is a well designed knife.

Let me know if you change your mind and want to send it in. The AVid will have a satin finish like a 110 blade.
